to medical professionals. Of special interest is the First Issue - January,

Up-to-date information on the treatment and management of disorders
of the skin, hair, and nails. This site allows you to visit ACNE Net and
AAD, both of which contain more information (and photos) than you will
probably ever need. Very well organized - a worthwhile site.
MGMA Online ****
Consulting company whose web site allows access to library resources,
publications, communications, and surveys. This is a WELL organized site
with over 100 web links in 13 different topics-- useful to practice managers
and administrators.
WebDoctor ***
Designed to guide the practicing physician toward online medical information,
the WebDoctor is divided by specialty and disease. However, it's not all
business at this site. The good doctor keeps an current index of links
to leisure activities such as comics and sports. Doctors can also visit
the chat room or leave messages on the news bulletin board.
CyberRounds *
Interactive grand rounds moderated by distinguished academics; exclusively
for physicians, medical students, and other medical professionals. This
appears to be a great site, but some of the best categories are for members
only. Any medical professional is able to join.
Laparoscopy ****+
Site having to do with laparoscopic surgery; includes Pictures, Movies,
Radio, Case Studies, and Live Conferences. Lots to see and do here - with
the photos and movies definately not for the faint-of-heart. A must see
for anyone involved or interested in this procedure. Excellent graphics!
Marshall University School of Medicine

A community-based school in Huntington, WV, whose focus is on primary
care and improving health care for rural populations; site includes the
Interactive Patient. Mainly a site for those associated with Marshall;
physicians may want to visit the Interactive Patient for a challenge.

This site is primarily for professionals only. It has illustrated hypertext
articles that cover findings for each trimester of a pregnancy, as well
as abnormal fetal anatomy. This page also includes a magazine, a system
of a fetus, articles, and a diagnoses. The material is somewhat limited,
but it can be very informative for health professionals.
Rheumatology at the University of

Facts Sheets: protease inhibitors
A thorough, PLWA-friendly article on protease inhibitors. An overview
links to other reports on resistance, clinical trials, AZT, and other
nucleoside analogs. The page also offers separate simple fact sheets for
the Big Three: although there are more than 20 protease inhibitors, Invirase,

is a very simple site; however, it is very informative.

This organization combines traditional therapies like surgery, radiation,
and chemotherapy with medicine's newest treatments. Here, they introduce

U.S. locations. The What's New page updates the latest in procedure and
CTCA events. A very informative site to visit, whether you are a cancer
patient or a medical professional.
Sarcoma Central
This is a web page that includes general information about sarcoma,
medical literature about it, treatment of it, articles on it, past histories/experiences,
and miscellaneous information on sarcoma. This is a very informative site
designed for patients as well as medical professionals. There is also
a place here where sarcoma patients can share their own experiences.
National Lymphedema Network

links. That is all this site really has, but the information that it does
provide gives patients, families, and medical professionals some good
information. A good site to visit.

editors called this newsletter for Crohn's victims. Through the quarterly
journal has ceased publication, its two-and-a-half-year collection of

These are articles written by doctors. The lectures and papers are dense

primates. A very informative and accurate site.

The Swedish Karolinska Institute gathers together all the newest research
in the bug field in a very convenient format. Both medical and regular
types will be pleased with this collection, which includes a New York
Times article on tick-transmitted illnesses as well as an Australian hospital's
tract on the Essentials of Legionellosis. This is the best place to keep
up on literature in your field or on your condition, be it cat scratch
fever, botulism, or TB.

all. Each brief contains full journal citations. A must-stop for those
interested in TB and AIDS vaccine developments.

assortment of associations dealing with this poster child of plagues.
Some really hot debates happen here, form discussions on Ebola in plants
to the chances for a vaccine. It is a very informative site, with a ton

Cardiovascular Institute of the South
A virtual library of physician-written columns discussing research,
prevention, and treatment of every imaginable heartache, including stroke,
high-blood pressure, peripheral vascular disease, and irregular heartbeats.
If practice makes perfect, these doctors must be real pros. The Institute
is located in Huoma, LA, which has one of the highest incidence rates
of cardiovascular disease in the industrialized world.

their own on-line medicalsearch engine which has access to nine million
