Whether you are interested in searching thousands of medical product and device descriptions and price quotes or not, this unique site has an interesting online "virtual" capability. Most useful for those interested in planning a new medical building, one has a capability to take "virtual" views of a state-of-the-art medical facility. The virtual tour provides information on every product and device within the medical building rooms.  
Clinical Practice Guidelines Online ****
Online guidelines are easily accessed and downloaded and are available in both English and Spanish for both professionals and consumers. This site is maintained by the U.S. government and the National Library of Medicine stores these electronic versions of guidelines.

Guide to Clinical Preventive Services Online ****

Both reference materials and guidelines for effective clinical preventive services as well as a search engine are contained online. Examples of materials/guidelines include counseling for risk reduction, immunizations for infection prevention, and screening tests for early detection of disease. An ASCII file can also be downloaded for the Guide.

Health Care Information Resources on the Web ****
The Health Services Research journal provides a very good listing of federal and state government, hospital associations, and university based educational health resources. Surveys and statistics are also included.  All references are hyper-linked for ease of access to the information.
Outcomes Assessment and Research Online Links ****
This site provides links to health care outcomes research, applications, examples, references, and criticisms of this newly emerging field of research, study and practice. Provides a good first step in exploring this topic. Also contains links to related areas of informatics, practice guidelines, and performance reporting.
Doctor Directory ****
Comprehensive physician locator covers all 50 states and many island destinations covering over 500,000 doctors. This site has a commentary, a new books section, latest additions, the neurology center, Lippincot-Raven publishers, and the Neuro-Graphics Corporation. This site is big, and has a lot of information. It is recommended for anyone who is interested, but especially doctors and health professionals. Worth a visit.
